Yesterday, we started one of the chores. She has to help me with getting the garden ready for this spring. I decided that instead of painstakingly planting all those tiny seeds I would give a go at making seed tape.
Recently my daughter broke the screen on her most favorite electronic in the world. Her Kindle. When she showed me the screen I thought she was going to cry. She was absolutely devastated. This is the child who will spend hour upon hour hibernating in her room reading. Finish an entire book in a day kinda reading. I can't blame her. Many of my days have been taken over by a good book. lol So, I made her a deal. I will buy you a new kindle, but you will have to do extra chores to pay for it. She readily agreed and I placed the order on amazon.
One of the things that we must have in the cupboards at all times in the winter is peppermint hot cocoa mix. The whole family absolutely love it. Not to mention it is mighty tasty in my coffee with a good splash of heavy cream. Don't judge.. heavy cream is my friend and oh so tasty! lol So after buying peppermint extract a few times in the store I decided I should probably save myself the money and attempt to make some of my own. I'm always up for a good challenge!
