Now... If you are still reading here is my rant about winter weather.
Rant begins.... Now. lol
I am seriously SERIOUSLY sick of this winter. I usually love the snow and how pretty it makes everything look. Everything is so peaceful and relaxing after the snow lays a blanket over everything. But this year? It's massively kicking my butt! I'm tired of shoveling snow, de-icing my sidewalk and driveway. I hate the fact that the plows come and then we have to shovel more snow just to get into our driveway. I'm tired of the snow boots leaving cold wet puddles on my entryway floor that I always seem to step in and get my socks all wet.
I NEED spring, warm weather and my garden! To feel the grass on my feet and to sit out on the back porch with a cup of coffee in the morning just enjoying the smells of the season. To water my garden. To BBQ some yummy food. To sit on the porch with my family in the evenings just relaxing and talking. But instead what do we get instead? A weather warning that says..
*IMPACTS/TIMING: SNOWFALL WILL BE DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON... BECOMING MODERATE BY LATE AFTERNOON. NORTHEAST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN THE FLATHEAD VALLEY LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON... PEAKING TONIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND WIND WILL LIKELY PRODUCE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW. LOCAL BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE WITH VISIBILITIES REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS
along with
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 5 TO 9 INCHES
oh and lets not forget
* WINDS: INCREASING NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH SUSTAINED WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH BY EARLY THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT IN THE NORTHERN FLATHEAD VALLEY. NORTH WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH IN THE MISSION VALLEY TONIGHT.
So today I will stay inside, bake a little bread to lift my spirits and throw a roast in the crockpot. Maybe I'll make some chocolate chip cookies too. Chocolate is always a good thing when your mood is in the dumps. lol

hi stacey! i like reading your rants:-) this is the first time that we are experiencing so much snow too! (we moved from hawaii to iowa last sept..yeah what have we thinking?!)..anyway, my son liked the lego photo of your son. he's a lego freak too! have a nice weekend.
Here's a solution...have a winter home in South Texas or Florida! Just keep your other home because you'll really be ranting when the heat & humidity kick in!
