Week 3 Menu Planning

We got all of our shopping and errands done on Saturday. We had a blast as the Saturday market and picked up some more delicious tomatoes. And on an impulse I picked up two more tomato plants and two basil plants. Shhh.. don't tell my husband! Now I just have to figure out where I'm going to put them! I am completely out of room in my garden. But in my defense, I just couldn't resist. I got a cherry tomato plant and an heirloom plant called the Green Zebra.

I saw the plants and instantly had images of eating these tomatoes with some red cherry tomatoes cut in half with a little balsamic vinegar, basil and mozzarella.. YUM! Oh wait..
or maybe with some some feta. YUMMY! So in my defense I say that this was a purchase well worth the money! lol I am also very proud to say that my weekly budget for shopping came in at $115 for the week. Not bad for a family of 5. I'm hoping to keep it as low as possible so we can put some extra money towards the doctor bills from last Fall/Winter.

And on a good note I finally found my camera and the cord! As I cook this week I'll be taking pictures and uploading some of our recipes so you can enjoy them as well.
