Here is a list of rules we will be following for our real food only challenge.
What can be eaten:
Lots of fruits and vegetables
Whole foods that are as close to nature as possible
100% whole grain and wheats
Drinks like water, Milk, natural juices and naturally sweetened coffee and tea.
All natural sweetners. ie honey, 100% maple syrup
Dairy products: Milk, unsweetened yogurt, eggs and cheese.
Seafood: Wild caught
Snacks: Dried fruit, seeds, nuts and popcorn
As many items as possible must be bought locally or as close to local as possible and organic.
Things not able to purchase local will be fair trade and organic.
Things on the cannot eat list:
Refined sugars: corn syrup, cane juice or products like splenda
Refined grains: White flour or white rice
Nothing that comes in a box, bag, can or other container that has more than 5 ingredients on the label with mystery items. If I can't pronounce it or know what it is, it's off limits.
No fast foods
No deep fat fried foods
